Our Quality Team has just announced that the Raspberry Pi Zero has been thoroughly tested and fully works with our Basic6 Cloud Platform! Remote access and control is now as quick as installing software in a few easy steps.   You can get started right here

If you haven't heard yet, the Raspberry Pi Zero is the best deal in IoT hardware: a $5 starter platform.  The Pi Zero has access to all the GPIO fun you will need to connect to switches, sensors and lights.  The device itself is about half the size of a credit card, but packs the same computing 'punch' as it's older brothers.

There are a few ways to connect devices to the Raspberry Pi Zero, such as through the OTG-USB port. There are also a few different ways to connect the Pi Zero to the internet; such as by making it a 'Gadget'.

In our lab, the Basic6 engineers chose a more advanced was to get WiFi to the Pi Zero. In true maker form, they cracked open a USB WiFi dongle and soldered it directly to the back of the circuit board! Wow. As you can see, it is a pretty wild way to get the Pi Zero connected to the Internet; but there it is!
